NEW YORK--more than one million people are estimated to be refugees in Yemensince mid-March due to conflict.
"The number of homeless appears to be growing as we get access to new areas," saidUN spokesman Stephane Dujarric, Wednesday (3/6).
Half of the people who were left homeless in the northwestern province of Hajjah andAdh-Dhale'e in South Yemen.
The UN Security Council on Tuesday (2/6) convey the deep concern about the sadsituation in Yemen. The Council urges the actors involved as soon as possible in thepolitical consultation involving many parties and U.N.-mediated.
In a statement broadcast on Tuesday afternoon, the Security Council again confirms its call to all parties in Yemen in order to attend the talks and engage withoutpreconditions and in good faith.
